The Ubiik MimoLink™ Tornado XR is a full-duplex, high transmit power radio designed specifically for use as a remote node in multipoint network architectures.
Engineered for uplink-predominant traffic environments, Tornado XR delivers stable transmit power across all modulation schemes, ensuring consistent performance even in challenging or weak signal conditions. It is fully compatible with the standard Tornado radio family, enabling seamless integration into existing MimoLink™ Tornado deployments.
Like all Tornado family products, XR is ultra-spectrally efficient and optimized for extremely low latency, supporting near real-time communication and network visibility across critical infrastructure systems. It is particularly well-suited for remote or difficult-to-reach sites where uplink performance is a priority, and can significantly enhance connectivity in weak coverage areas.
Tornado XR is designed for multipoint networks and is intended for remote radio deployment only, pairing with high-power base stations such as Tornado X for complete network solutions. Together, they enable scalable, high-reliability wireless infrastructure for utility, industrial, and mission-critical applications.
The product is currently available in 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands, supporting 12.5 kHz, 25 kHz, and 50 kHz channel sizes to accommodate diverse regulatory and deployment requirements.
