Description

The Ubiik MimoLink™ Tornado X 1+1 is a full-duplex, software-flexible, ultra spectrally-efficient radio system engineered for long-range point-to-multipoint and point-to-point communications in critical network infrastructure environments.

Designed with built-in intelligent redundancy features, the Tornado X 1+1 system provides automated support for both warm standby and hot standby operation. In the event of a radio failure, the standby unit is automatically switched in to maintain uninterrupted communications and continuous data flow. The failed radio can then be replaced without affecting the active system, minimizing downtime and ensuring maximum network availability.

The system supports multiple redundancy configurations, including automatic switching of Serial, GPIO, alarm, and antenna ports. It also offers an optional dual-antenna architecture, where each radio operates with its own antenna to provide additional antenna path redundancy and enhanced network resilience.

With scalable data rates, low latency performance, and an efficient access protocol, Tornado X 1+1 enables near real-time communication with large numbers of remote sites while maintaining exceptionally high reliability for mission-critical utility, industrial, and infrastructure applications.
