The Ubiik MimoLink™ Tornado X is a high transmit power addition to the MimoLink™ full duplex MIMO radio portfolio, purpose-built for demanding critical infrastructure and industrial communication networks.
Designed for both coverage-limited multipoint deployments and long-distance point-to-point links, Tornado X delivers reliable performance even across obstructed or challenging paths. Its stable transmit power across all modulation schemes ensures consistent connectivity and dependable network performance under varying operating conditions.
Fully compatible with the standard Tornado radio platform, Tornado X allows network operators to mix and match radios within the same deployment to optimize coverage, terrain adaptability, and throughput requirements. The platform is software-flexible, ultra-spectrally efficient, and engineered for extremely low latency, enabling near real-time communications and visibility across mission-critical systems.
For utility teleprotection applications, Tornado X is also available in an Optimized Protection Variant, delivering ultra-low serial latency for high-speed protection signaling and grid automation.
The radio is currently available in 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands, supporting 12.5 kHz, 25 kHz, and 50 kHz channel sizes to meet a wide range of network and regulatory requirements.
