Ubiik Announces FCC Certification of First LTE Router Supporting Three Bands in a Single Platform
Phoenix, AZ – January 22, 2026
Following on from the December release of their LTE router for B54, Ubiik announced today the FCC certification and commercial availability of a new Wi-Fi-capable LTE router supporting 3GPP Band 54, Band 106, and the 915 MHz license-free ISM bands in a single platform.
The Pyxis Duo RB701D is the first LTE router certified to operate across all three bands, enabling utilities to deploy resilient private LTE networks spanning licensed and license-free spectrum while standardizing on a single device platform.
The RB701D integrates a Cat-4 LTE modem for Band 54 together with a Cat-1bis LTE modem supporting Band 106 and 915 MHz ISM-FDD. This combination offers support for a broad range of utility applications including video surveillance, advanced SCADA, distribution automation, and other data-intensive grid operations. Enabling flexible deployment and mutual failover across different spectrum bands, this multi-modem architecture is designed to enhance network resilience.
“The Pyxis Duo RB701D reflects how utilities are deploying private LTE today,” said Mark Fecci, Vice President of Sales, U.S., at Ubiik.
“Band 54, Band 106, and the 915 MHz ISM band are all important to utility communications strategies. With the RB701D, customers can support high-performance applications across multiple spectrum options while gaining added coverage, redundancy, and operational flexibility—all within a single certified router.”
Integrated Wi-Fi enables local connectivity for devices such as sensors, IP cameras, laptops, and handheld tools, simplifying field deployments and maintenance.
Working seamlessly with Ubiik’s goRAN™ base stations for Band 54 and Band 106 and freeRAN™ for 915 MHz ISM deployments, the Pyxis Duo RB701D is also interoperable with third party pLTE base stations.
The Pyxis Duo RB701D will be featured at the Ubiik booth (#UL635) at DTECH 2026.
