Ubiik is a leading AMI solution provider that develops technologies related to innovative IoT (Internet of Things) products. We build tools and infrastructure aimed at creating a smarter and more sustainable world.

Our focus is on research, development and deployment of low power wide area network (LPWAN) communication systems. We started as the world’s leading manufacturer of devices using the Weightless™ LPWAN for industrial and national-scale, long-range IoT solutions. We now also support 3GPP standard technologies like NB-IoT and LTE-M, providing the foundational protocols, end devices, base stations and cloud services needed for implementing IoT networks.

We provide complete vertical solutions for utilities, smart energy, smart factory, and smart city applications. We have customers around the world and cooperate with partners and system integrators globally.

Acquired New Zealand-based Mimomax Wireless, a provider of mission-critical communication solutions for narrowband channels.

Won US$17 million AMI tender from Taipower to expand the communication network and HES for additional 450,000 meters.

2021

Weightless™ ePaper product shipped to European semiconductor fabrication plant customer.

Closed Series A funding of US$5 million led by Taiwania Capital.

2020

Won US$17 million AMI tender from Taipower to expand the communication network and HES for additional 380,000 meters.

2019

Won US$16 million AMI tender from Taipower to expand the communication network and HES for additional 265,000 meters. Ubiik’s Weightless™ network becomes the largest LPWA network in Taiwan.

Completed delivery of 11,000 smart electricity meters and cloud management platform to a Japanese customer for energy management.

2018

Won US$8 million AMI tender from Taipower to deliver and deploy the communication network and HES for 70,500 smart meters using Weightless™ and LTE Cat-1 technologies.
