Description

The Ubiik Weightless™ Base Station, also known as a Data Concentrator Unit (DCU), is a carrier-grade LPWAN gateway designed for large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployments. It aggregates and manages data from more than 1,000 smart meters per base station, providing secure, long-range, two-way communication over Ubiik’s proprietary Weightless™ wireless network. The DCU collects interval readings, outage alarms, and remote control commands, then forwards this data to the Head End System (HES) through Ethernet or cellular backhaul. Proven in nationwide deployments with Taiwan Power Company, Ubiik’s Weightless™ DCU delivers utility-grade reliability, AES-encrypted security, and scalable connectivity for electricity, water, and gas metering applications.
